SPIED: Next-Gen KTM 390 Adventure Spotted Testing in India

2025 390 Adventure is getting ready for a showdown and it looks more purposeful than the current version. Here are the quick details..

The Duke is the flagship brand for KTM when it comes to versatility and it is what leads the generation updates for the Austrian brand. We recently received the new 390 Duke that has changed completely. It gets a new, bigger engine, a fresher chassis along with an overhaul to the overall styling.

Now, as expected next-generations of its siblings the full faired RC as well as the Adventure models are under test. The upcoming 390 Adventure is what has been spotted testing in India and like the Duke, KTM is bringing in major updates to the already capable motorcycle.

We see that the new ADV has design inspiration from rally bikes which is definitely a good thing. The front has raised mudguard, apart from a semi fairing and a higher-placed instrument cluster. The test mule that we see here is running on an underbelly exhaust. The new Adventure has a heavy looking front with a humped fuel tank and a rather sleek rear and tail section.

The seating posture is pretty upright and it appears the motorcycle is running 19-17 inch tyre set-up. From what we understand, the new Adventure appears to have the potential to be an even more capable ADV that the current-gen model.

The new, bigger 399cc motor is already more tractable than before, as we have seen on the 390 Duke. This should make the ADV even better specially while off-roading.

The upcoming 390 Adventure is expected to be unveiled at this year’s EICMA and an eventual Indian launch can then be expected sometime early next year. It will be interesting to see how KTM goes about its pricing, since the model has received a very formidable rival in the form of Royal Enfield Himalayan 450 very recently!
