2024 Svartpilen 401 price is attractive and the scrambler is coming for the first time in India. You get great specs and features at lesser price than 390 Duke…
Bajaj has officially announced the launch of two new generation Husqvarnas in India – the Svartpilen 401 and the Vitpilen 250. Let us quickly talk about the bigger 401 in this story.
The 2024 Svartpilen 401, as expected, is based on the new-gen 390 Duke and carries over the chassis and the bigger motor as well. Husqvarna has tried to make the motorcycle a little more practical than before. It is now slightly bigger and more accomodating.
The Scrambler Svartpilen carries retro styling bits in modern format and the new version does manage to look better. Apart from the generation change, practical improvement bits include enhanced 177 mm ground clearance (152 mm before) and better seat height for both rider (820 mm – 22 mm lower) as well as pillion (877 mm – 30 mm lower). In fact, the overall seat has also become longer by 100 mm and the fuel tank capacity has increased from a measly 9.5 liter to 13.5 liter on the new model.
The bigger capacity 398cc single cylinder DOHC motor churns 45 hp of peak power and 39 Nm of max torque. As you would expect, key features include adjustable WP suspension, dual channel ABS from Bosch and 17 inch spoke wheels. Apart from a premium quality paint finish, you get 17 inch Pirelli Scorpion Rally STR block pattern tyres on both wheels.
There is a new 5 inch TFT display as well that also comes with optional connectivity option. It also gets all LED lighting.

The 2024 Svartpilen 401 will be available across 400 KTM-Husqvarna dealers in India from end January onwards.
