Royal Enfield has officially announced the launch of the new 2023 Continental GT 650 and Interceptor 650. The mid-life update has brought some interesting changes to these motorcycles.

First up, the 650 Twins have received alloy wheels for the first time. This has been a long standing demand from Royal Enfield’s fans and finally the affordable twins get this feature. The motorcycles are also offered with tubeless tyres and there are other updates as well that we have discussed later.

2023 Interceptor 650 updates

2023 650 Twins come with new colorways – four of them for the Interceptor and two for the CGT. The Interceptor is available in two blacked-out colors – Barcelona Blue and Black Ray and there are two new dual color tones – Black Pearl and Cali Green. Existing shades of Mark 2, Canyon Red and Sunset Strip continue to be on sale.

On the other hand, the Continental GT has received two blacked-out color shades – Apex Grey and Slipstream Blue. Older color tones of Mr Clean, British Racing Green, Rocker Red, Dux Deluxe have been carried over. Many color shades on both the models have been discontinued.

2023 Interceptor 650 updates

The new blacked-out colorways come with blackened engine as well as exhaust. Further, the above mentioned features are available as standard on the blacked-out colors.

Royal Enfield further informs that the ‘new’ colors now come with the following updates..

  • new LED headlamp
  • USB charging port
  • New switchgear
  • Better seat (for added comfort)

The 2023 Continental GT 650 come with new Vredestein tyres (with a radial rear tyre) that replace the older Ceats whereas the Interceptor continues with the older set.

The price hike on the Interceptor is upto Rs 16,000 whereas the Continental GT has become costlier by upto Rs 15,000. The new models are open for bookings across all company dealers.
