Suzuki Confirms – 2020 Gixxer 250 & Gixxer SF250 ‘Coming Soon’

2020 Gixxer 250 launch expected in the coming few days. The recently launched twins expand company’s portfolio into entry mid-weight segment…

Suzuki Motorcycles was the only major player which participated in this year’s Auto Expo held in February in Noida. It unveiled the 2020 versions of both naked Gixxer 250 as well as the full faired Gixxer SF 250, along with their 150cc versions.

The 150cc Gixxers with Bharat Stage 6 compliance have already been launched. And if you were waiting for the 2020 quarter liters, here is a new word on it. Suzuki has updated its official website with the ‘Coming Soon‘ ticker. This confirms that the duo is round the corner and may probably be in your dealerships after the lockdown gets over.

Both the Gixxer’s continue with the same 249 cc, single cylinder, oil cooled engine which now produces 26.5 PS of peak power at 9300 rpm and 22.2 Nm of max torque at 7300 rpm. There is no drop in power but it now comes 300 rpm later; peak torque has come down by 0.4 Nm though (and it peaks 200 rpm earlier). So, expect a minor change in the rev band on the latest versions.

The weights of the twins have remained same (161 kg for the SF and 156 kg for the naked). There are not many changes to the specs and styling of the motorcycles. Both the bikes will continue to be available in silver and black color options with the faired sportster getting the special MotoGP blue edition as well. No price revelations as of now..
