Apart from its other products, Suzuki has also unveiled the updated Gixxer 250 range which now gets the mandatory Bharat Stage 6 compliance. Since these two motorcycles – naked Gixxer and full faired Gixxer SF, were already BS6-ready, there hasn’t been any dramatic changes to the specs of the motorcycles.
Both the Gixxer 250 and Gixxer SF 250 continue with the same 249cc, single cylinder, oil-cooled engine which pumps out 26.5 PS of peak power at 9300 rpm and 22.2 Nm of max torque at 7300 rpm. While the max power has remained the same, it peaks in 300 rpm later. The torque numbers are down by 0.4 Nm but they peak 200 rpm earlier. The weight has remained the same at 161 kg for the SF and 156 kg for the streetfighter.
Suzuki has not revealed the prices of these motorcycles yet and they are expected to be launched by the end of this month. For reference, the current Gixxer 250 costs Rs 1,59,800 whereas the faired Gixxer SF 250 BS4 has been priced at Rs 1,70,655 – both ex-showroom Delhi.
