2019 Wego

Is it the 2019 Wego or something else…?

Motoroids has uploaded spy pics of a full camouflaged scooter being tested somewhere down south. Bearing a KA number plate, in all probability, this is a TVS test mule looking at how it has been hidden under that cloth.

Talking about TVS, they have recently introduced Ntorq 125 which has become an instant hit and the good thing about it is that it is not made with a thorough-bred commuter mindset and instead, the company has imbibed in it a sense of sportiness.

Deciphering this test mule – we see that it shares similarities with TVS Wego. The exhaust canister appears to be a direct lift; it has an external fuel filler cap behind the seat. Apart from that not much can be predicted from the angle and (lack of) clarity of these pics.

This could be the new-gen 2019 Wego or TVS may introduce this as a new brand considering that Wego has not been a very brisk seller in the market. This could be powered by TVS’ 110cc air cooled motor, which on the Wego produces 8PS of peak power at 7500 rpm and 8.4 Nm of peak torque at 5500 rpm.

We believe TVS will definitely lend a wee bit of sportiness in this scooter irrespective of whichever brand it eventually gets launched under, including a bassier exhaust note. We will wait for more updates on this to get a clarity on what exactly is TVS upto…
