Hero Electric Tops in 2-Wheeler EV Sales in H1 2021

2-Wheeler EV sales H1 2021 – The baton is being carried forward by Hero Electric but can it sustain the momentum with increasing competition…

Hero Electric has delivered a total of 15,000+ high-speed electric two-wheelers in the first half of this year 2021.

After the post-COVID lockdown relaxation, it registered sales of over 4500 units. This figure is only for July 2021. Hero also has plans to expand its existing facility so that it can manufacture up to 3 lakh EVs per year. The demand for EVs is at an all-time high and Hero is trying to leverage it.

Dealerships are reporting that the rise in sales can be attributed to the policy and subsidies that have been implemented by the central and state governments in India. Due to such incentives, electric vehicles have become more affordable for customers.
