Hero MotoCorp will enter the electric motorcycle segment in the Indian market with the launch of two new models by 2027 end
Hero MotoCorp retails EV models under the Vida sub-brand in the Indian market. Presently, it sells two electric scooters in the form of Vida V2 and Vida VX2 in our country. However, it seems quite apparent that the world’s largest two-wheeler brand will soon foray into the electric motorcycle segment. Hero unveiled two all-new electric motorcycles in concept form namely Vida Ubex and Vida Project VxZ at the EICMA 2025 in Italy, earlier this month. In this piece, we will talk in detail about the 2 upcoming Hero electric bikes in India.
Hero Vida Concept Ubex
Termed as the brand’s first global electric motorcycle, it is a neo-naked urban hypermoto which has been developed for all-terrain riding. Sitting on a modular platform, Vida Ubex is likely to be offered with advanced smart connectivity. The model presented at the EICMA 2025 flaunted a dual-tone paint scheme with red body panels and white frame.
Some of the notable design highlights of the Vida Ubex concept are front beak, tall stance, floating seat, exposed frame, alloy wheels and sleek rear profile. The suspension duties are helmed by USD front forks and monoshock unit at the rear. The ‘Ubex’ moniker is made out of ‘Urbex’ which stands for urban exploration. It is expected to get a mid-mounted electric motor, while battery pack and range details are not revealed.

Hero Vida Project VxZ
The project VXZ has been jointly developed by Hero MotoCorp and US-based Zero Motorcycles. The model showcased at the EICMA 2025 appeared to be in production-ready guise. The Vida Project VXZ has a naked streetfighter design with premium elements such as 5-spoke alloy wheels, stepped seat, signature Vida LED DRLs and a compact tail section.
Identical to the Vida Ubex concept, the project VXZ is also likely to boast of a mid-mounted electric motor. The technical specs have been kept under the wraps. The exact launch timeline of both these electric bikes is not officially announced, but we expect the Ubex and VxZ to go on sale in the next 2 years by 2027 end in the Indian market.

Apart from these electric motorcycles, Hero MotoCorp also showcased the Vida Dirt.E Series at the event in Italy. The new line of off-road electric motorcycles was presented with the “Ride Beyond the Wild” tagline. The first two models under this branding were Dirt.E K3 and Dirt.E MX7 Racing Concept. While the former was an electric bike for children from ages 4 to 10 years with three adjustable sizes, the latter is a high-performance, agile electric off-road motorcycle built with Hero’s legendary Dakar Rally engineering expertise.
