These BMW motorcycles are expected to have their world premiere at the EICMA 2026 in Nov in Milan, Italy
BMW F 450 GS is just a week away from its much-anticipated launch on Indian soil as the German brand will officially introduce it on April 23, 2026 in the country. However, ahead of the launch, we have learnt that the company is readying two more motorcycles on the same 420cc engine platform, which are likely to debut at EICMA 2026 in Italy. While BMW has remained mum on this, sources tell us that one of these models will be a fully-faired supersports bike (BMW F 450 RR), while the other one would be a naked motorcycle (BMW F 450 R).
BMW could present the concept versions of these bikes at the motorcycling event in Milan, Italy. The brand is banking heavily on the F 450 GS platform after axing the G 310 R and the G 310 GS from the Indian market. Needless to state, the aforementioned models were massive volume churners for the brand and the duo, if not discontinued, would have been more affordable and accessible for buyers after the roll out of GST 2.0 in India.
The F 450 GS is likely to go on sale at a starting price of around Rs 5 lakh (ex-showroom). On the other hand, the naked model based on the same platform, purportedly christened as the F 450 R, could be positioned below the ADV bike with a slightly lower price. The engine tuning and gearbox ratio could be different to suit the naked character of the motorcycle.

On the other hand, the BMW F 450 RR would come with fairing, clip-on handlebars and sporty ergonomics to rival the likes of Kawasaki Ninja 500 and Aprilia RS 457 in the Indian market. Recently, a test mule of a fully-faired supersport motorcycle was spotted on the Indian roads. However, it couldn’t be established whether it is the BMW F 450 RR or TVS Apache RR 450.
Both these upcoming BMW bikes in India will be locally manufactured by TVS at the Hosur factory in Tamil Nadu. TVS will also have its own version of the naked and supersport models. The company had already showcased the Tangent RR Concept with a monocoque subframe at the EICMA 2025, which previews a fully-faired motorcycle based on the F 450 GS platform.

At the heart, both the BMW bikes will house the same 420cc twin-cylinder liquid-cooled engine which develops top power of 47 bhp at 8750 rpm and 43 Nm at 6750 rpm. The engine is paired to a 6-speed gearbox. We can expect premium features in the naked as well as the supersports motorcycle such as a bi-directional quickshifter, ride modes, traction control, TFT display and Turn-by-turn navigation.
