i ride yamaha R1 2009 model.i am a guy basically from calcutta but live in toronto since last 6 years.i own a apache rtr180 at calcutta too.trust me.i will suggest u go for 250 cc or any 600cc bikes after karizma.in india if u r lil bit careless then u willl have an accident .if not becoz of u then becoz of other pppl.come on,,,R1 is a track bike basically.not for public roads. it has full torque till 3rd gear.if u put ur throttle all the ways up till third gear it will lift up the front wheel.and might skid in indian road roads(m not talking about new highways).there are lotsa stone chips beside roads.anyways i will suggest go slowly with lower cc bikes then go 1000cc gradually.i rode yamaha r6 for 2 years before i had yamaha r1.good luck bro.
