Yamaha has launched limited editions of Fazer & FZ Series bikes while renewing their brand association with John Abraham. In the presence of the Bollywood hunk who is Yamaha’s brand ambassador in India, Yamaha showcased its Fazer and FZ series of bikes which have managed to gain huge popularity in a relatively short span of time.

Mr. Yukimine Tsuji, CEO, India Yamaha Motor Pvt. Ltd., said, “India is one of the key markets for Yamaha. We are constantly shifting gears to transform the market from utility to pleasure & lifestyle. Yamaha is offering innovative designs, sporty looks and premium features across models as part of its strategy to give consumers a new thrill in biking.
The limited edition of high demand model Fazer & FZ series is in line with this strategy. Also with the festive season round the corner, we expect limited editions to be an instant hit amongst biking enthusiasts”.

Mr. Tsuji added on the association of the brand with the iconic bollywood star, “John is a passionate biker himself and fits the Yamaha brand. We are upbeat about John’s association with Yamaha and confident that it will catapult the concept of biking in India to a new level.”

John Abraham has performed in movies such as Dhoom where he is depicted as a skilled biker, this sort of association along with his personal collection of exotics are what makes him popular among the younger generation of the country. His link with Yamaha would surely add to the success of the brand. The Fazer series of bikes with its established performance and handling characteristics have already become a success with the youth and with special edition bikes like these, Yamaha can be sure to attract buyers for these bikes especially with festivities just around the corner.

The special edition Fazer and FZ bikes sport a special white and blue paintjob along with details such as white alloy rims with flouroscent blue rim stripes, and tank graphics. Only 3,000 units of the White color Limited edition FZ16, FZ-S and Fazer models will be produced and will be priced at Rs. 66,500, Rs. 68,500 and Rs. 73,500 respectively.

A colorful gift from Yamaha India as these limited edition bikes.
The first version i.e “FZ16″ is still much handsome and gorgeous than all the coming variants; and ofcourse this one is crap.
What a half hearted attempt. I would have appreciated if they had boosted the power a bit.
Don’t tell me Yamaha is going to launch bikes like Hero Honda….

Deepak –
Why did they bother bringing John Abraham back man? The FZ and R15 are doing terrific numbers. This guy is a joke. I appreciate him for his movies, hard work etc, but I don’t think he influenced Yamaha as a brand. When John moved out of yamaha, they started doing exceptionally well (thanx to Fazer and R15). Now why would they bring him back? If I had a couple million bucks with me, I’d go in for the R1 not because John is the ambassador or he rides one, but because of the bike’s performance figures and sheer looks.
@Motorbeam,
Your absolutely right.I think Yamaha should come out from FZ-16 stuff now.They are always playing around FZ-16.
To all guys who want 2 buy this limited edition bikes…
Take extra care while riding coz any fall or accident of the motorcycle and your struck in a situation…Bcoz the spares(body cover,faring etc) will not be available from yamaha…They are producing only 3000 untis..
You will have to change the whole body kit…..
i’d rather buy the original ………..and tll my mchanic to repaint the bike with MRF paint……….hee will do a better job ………..

….they are champion in sports bikes, but yeh India hai..they always try to play between 150 or 125cc.Yamaha should try for handsome 100 or 110c…. like Hero-Honda(Real champions).
