This review is very detailed. It helped me to understand a lot about this bike. And this is the bike I was searching for long. Killing looks and ride quality. I gonna bag one very soon.

Hello guys,

Nice review. I have owned an rtr 160 with rear disc and sold it recently and got a black fazer.
I liked the upright posture and the rearsets and the excellent suspension. i am a motorcycle addict and i have come to a position where i cant live without one. I have done 3000 km in two weeks and I have tested the mileage after 1500 km it was giving me 51kmpl on highways. I gave up my rtr(which had done 25000km in 6 months and i loved it) because of the tendonitis i developed due to long journeys. As a traveler on poorly maintained roads through the villages lot of stress on the wrist due to constant wringing and changing gears. I am feeling better with my wrists since the fazer as less strain on the throttle. The suspension i s far more better compared to rtr and it is 7 step adjustable. Excellent build quality and hard to find a flaw with that though you will manage to find some. nice braking but not as satisfying as rtr. reasonable pickup and i did manage to reach speed of 100 at 7000 rpm and i did not feel the need to push it harder. Touring does not mean that you always have to be on highways and those are the only places where you will be maintain speeds beyond 80kmph(prove me wrong!). This is the perfect tourer if you are really going places in INDIA. Concerned about mileage....... GET A UNICORN OF GS150R. It all depends on the rider and what he knows about riding. I have been in emergency situations on both rtr and fazer and even my long lost stunner and still managed to keep myself alive unlike some pulsar freaks i have known just because they have misjudged their capabilities and died of silly mistakes which could have been avoided just by riding sensibly.

Hi,
Nice review. I bought this bike in White colour yesterday.
The bike now has kick start, foot rests and leg guards installed by Yamaha. Probably yamaha people read your review and fixed the 3 problems stated. :)
I am very happy with the performance. Great bike :)
