TVS Motor Company today announced the availability of its 2009 Flame model in the market under the brand TVS Flame SR 125. The new commuter motorcycle is loaded with a host of exciting features that has been further enhanced to delight its customers.
According to H S Goindi, President Marketing – TVS Motor Company, “The TVS Flame SR125 comes with significantly enhanced low and mid range power delivery and better noise, vibration and handling (NVH) characteristics. The revolutionary Controlled Combustion Variable Timing Intelligent (CC-VTi) technology provides an advantageous combination of power and mileage backed by stunning looks.”

This impressive rear tyre, which has been a clamor by our customers, ensures better road grip and enhances the bike’s looks. Futuristic styling with refreshing new graphics deployed in this motorcycle gives it best-in-class appeal.” Goindi adds.

The 240 mm front disc brakes are complemented with a chic triangular exhaust that is not only unique but also enhances performance and delivers the smoothest of sounds and low emissions. The bike flaunts an elegant backlit digital console that prominently displays the first of its kind intelligent mileage indicator (IMI), low fuel warning and service indicator. The rear end of the bike sports a dual lens tail lamp that is first in its class. Just launched for the sake of it. nothing new or extraordinary in this bike.
Yeah, I agree. I did not like the design of the original Flame bike either.
TVS Flame is just amazing.
I do agree that there is no visual changes in the new version but the Flame in general is the best looking bike in 125cc and some others in higher category too.
Where in the world you get such a wonderful bike for this price.
As of now Bajaj has no good bikes other than Pulsar. XCD was already a scrap and the modifications made to Discover made it lose its look. Only Pulsar is still alive.
Regarding other foreign manufacturers such as Honda. They produce the same tasteless model of 100cc bikes and stick to the mileage. Our people buy those old model bikes and help foreigners to earn money and make our country poor.
Anyway I’m going to buy the full Black color Flame. The hottest bike! If you have time just have a look at black color flame bikes. You will understand what I mean.

Sir,
I purchased Flame in Jan.,09 after hearing that it is good
and having liked the looks and also testrided it. But, I am
not satisfied with the vibrations, gearshifting and low and mid end power. There is heavy discount for selling it. Now, TVS says it has comeup with a very good and refined version.
So, I am bogged down with this and regretting.
The new version TVS FLAME SR-125 is a good bike among 125 cc category. There is only a minse point is that this bike is only 4 gear.
I am going to buy this bike. I like its looking and milage. Please suggest me what I am to do. I can spend only 55000. and i need an 125cc bike.

hi,
i dont like this bike , Bcause of vibration and
gear shifting problem.
TVS has given a new lease of life to its existing product the Flame by making the necessary improvements. One only hopes that they have got their calculations correct, this time around. The first time buyer has a lot of expectations and is not in the mood to be disappointed. From the first impressions of the new SR125 it appears to be good sorted out vehicle. Now… only time will tell if it is appreciated by the masses.

I have minor vibration, bit cranky gear box and rarely starting problem
But all these things disappear when I cruise on it.
Excellent pick up, good top speed and above all its STYLE!!!

TVS has launched new avatar of this bike, TVS Flame DS 125 (With twin spark system). Does anybody knows the exact or approximate mileage of this new version of flame? What is the exact fuel tank capacity?
When this BIKE is available in INDORE.
Mathew, this bike should be available by now in Indore.
If you still face problem in getting one, why don’t you just call the customer care number mentioned in TVS website.
Dear Mr. Balachander,
I am talking about FLAME DS-125, FLAME SR-125 is available in Indore, but FLAME DS-125 is not available in Indore.
thank your for your response.
hi im from sri lanka, actually flame good or bad? because ill try 2 get 2nd hand market bike,17000km used.
flame is not for hill area ??????????????????????? plz repy
It depends on your budget.
Higher the power the better in hill climbing is the key for any machine.
When you climb slowly on hills then power will start reducing gradually in any bike. However you will not see any difference if you are running at full throttle.
If you are planning to buy 100 to 125cc bikes then Flame is good for you. From my experience in riding Flame on flyovers I feel comfortable and fully under control (no power loss), but with pillion(riding slowly) I feel a bit loss of power.
If you have enough cash then you could also consider 180+cc bikes.
Cool and superb I want buy it in my own salary
