Hi this is Magesh from Chennai.. My bro is owning a orange GS150R..I had taken this bike for a ride to pondicherry for my official work. I rode for 417kms (two way) totally .. This bike is butter smooth at high speeds .. my avg spd at tat time was 80-90kmph . top speed i touched was 117kmph.. I never felt back pain in this bike.. seat is somewhat harder ,only my pillion is uncomfortable .. Riders comfort is excellent..
Headlight is not powerful enough as it looks.. rear braking is also average..
I cant believe the engine., it never feels tired.. Keeps on going..... I didn't checked its mileage.. My brother said that it gives an average of 60kmpl .. He used to drive in cities only at an avg spd of 55-65kmph.. One of the best fuel efficient bike in 150cc segment..

I am looking for an 150cc bike with rider comfort, straight seating position, mileage and longevity.. My height is five foot seven. Please suggest an ideal bike for me... I sort of make out that Suzuki GS150 is very good but sceptical about whether it would suit my height..

darren ..the tak tak noise u r talking about comes free with every bike you buy..
it comes generally after long and rogh rides..
please make sure you dont ride it at high speeds till 300 kms atleast this will make the bike 'run before it could walk'.....
suzuki gs 150 r is a very nice bike far better than the vibrator apache 180 and the old school pulsar 150...
though the bike looks a bit old..
trust me the 6th gear and 149kgs makes all the difference..
the engine is soundless and smoother than any of its compititor...

Hello Sanjay,

I am getting a mileage of 50-55km/litre. My riding is a 50-50 combination of highway and city riding. Done three services and clocked 6000km in 9 months, till now there has been no problem with the bike and it is in fact running better than ever. Go for it. Also the bike has become reasonably common in Chennai roads so I am no longer worried about spares availability & all.

hello guy's.. I would like to thank de website owner for helping me share my view's of the Suzuki GS150r..
Guys i've bought a GS 150 R just a month ago, and yea its really superb.. There's really no vibration wen yo travell at a high speed (115 km/hr).. And de 6th gear wof, makes yo to really love your ride.. It gives yo a really smooth ride and de best part wen yo travel on long trip's on de 6th gear, the bike just glides on de road.. And the only negative point of the bike is that the "tak tak " noise comes after yo stop your bike after use..

To me, GS 150r is "The UNTAMED" (the performance)

A superb 150 bike 4 tis gen 2011..

Hi,

i too own a gsr.... one of my cousins have done a 138 Kmph in my gsr.... this happened on way to bangalore from kerala.... Exactly say he did a 143 kmph... but let us put as 135 kmph, not exaggerating ... and average mileage throughout the journey of around 850 kms was 45 kmpl (average speed of 100 kmph)... great stability ... great engine quality ... Bike is worth....
