hi all,prabhat here from chennai. this bike rocks,if u really need all d things from d same bike.. go for it. its beauty with mind. hats off to suzuki.
pros-many more. (equivalent to unicorn with digital meter,sixth gear).
cons-
rear disk brake ll b good.
not good for short heighted people.
fuel tank design can b better.
poor marketing.

i want to take a new bike this diwali, i want a 150cc bike is suzuki gs150r the best.
what is its average, is it better than unicorn, does it give any mentionance as the pulsar gives, which new colour is the best in the new launched model the white or the black plz suggest me…

Hi this is Magesh from Chennai.. My bro is owning a orange GS150R..I had taken this bike for a ride to pondicherry for my official work. I rode for 417kms (two way) totally .. This bike is butter smooth at high speeds .. my avg spd at tat time was 80-90kmph . top speed i touched was 117kmph.. I never felt back pain in this bike.. seat is somewhat harder ,only my pillion is uncomfortable .. Riders comfort is excellent..
Headlight is not powerful enough as it looks.. rear braking is also average..
I cant believe the engine., it never feels tired.. Keeps on going….. I didn’t checked its mileage.. My brother said that it gives an average of 60kmpl .. He used to drive in cities only at an avg spd of 55-65kmph.. One of the best fuel efficient bike in 150cc segment..

I am 6”3 and looking for Highted bike is this bike perfect for me????? and what is the millage?????

I am looking for an 150cc bike with rider comfort, straight seating position, mileage and longevity.. My height is five foot seven. Please suggest an ideal bike for me… I sort of make out that Suzuki GS150 is very good but sceptical about whether it would suit my height..

darren ..the tak tak noise u r talking about comes free with every bike you buy..
it comes generally after long and rogh rides..
please make sure you dont ride it at high speeds till 300 kms atleast this will make the bike ‘run before it could walk’…..
suzuki gs 150 r is a very nice bike far better than the vibrator apache 180 and the old school pulsar 150…
though the bike looks a bit old..
trust me the 6th gear and 149kgs makes all the difference..
the engine is soundless and smoother than any of its compititor…

Hello Sanjay,

I am getting a mileage of 50-55km/litre. My riding is a 50-50 combination of highway and city riding. Done three services and clocked 6000km in 9 months,till now there has been no problem with the bike and it is in fact running better than ever. Go for it. Also the bike has become reasonably common in Chennai roads so I am no longer worried about spares availability & all.
