Remember 26th December, the day when we shared the first ever sneak of a possibly different version of Pantero by a set of spyshots. And barely a few days later, Mahindra officially announced the advent of Centuro! We are back with another surprise.
Mahindra is on a product launching rampage. After setting foot with their scooters, their first offering, 110cc Pantero is already on the roads. Their next offering will be the feature rich Centuro which has also been unveiled officially (but not launched).
And the next product we all expected, would be the 300cc Mojo! But that is not to happen. According to what we have learnt, Mahindra is preparing a 125cc motorcycle before the Mojo. Mojo is not coming anytime soon and it might make way towards the end of this year around Diwali.
So the 125cc motorcycle is expected to be launched before October-November this year. Our sources say that the 125cc bike is still under development and has not made it to the roads for testing. We do not have any head or tail clue on how the product will look like or about its specifications but soon we will dig it out. Mahindra’s 125cc will compete with the already existing champions like Bajaj Discover ST, Honda Shine, TVS Phoenix etc.
So, Mahindra wants to play all out in the two wheeler segment as well and has plans to break even on their investment by 2015. We are already testing their Pantero and will share a detailed review of the bike pretty soon. You can talk about it at our forums
