Revealed: New CBR150R & CBR250R Launch Tomorrow at RevFest: Specs Inside

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India Pvt Ltd has been toiling hard to promote their upcoming RevFest which is scheduled to be held simultaneously in 8 cities! They call it the ‘grandest motorcycle extravaganza‘ in India and while the centre stage will be taken by the four cylinder CBR 650F, the company will also launch three more motorcycles.

One of them is the new CB Hornet 160R, details and pic of which we have shared earlier, the remaining two are the updated CBR150R and CBR250R. Now, before you get excited, let us tell you that, like most of Honda’s earlier launches this year, the siblings get new stickers and decals and possibly an addition of a few new colors to the palette! Yes, there is NO significant mechanical change which we can notice in the spec sheet shared on this page!

The CBR 150R gains a star shaped sticker on its fairing which extends to the fuel tank. In terms of specs, it continues with the single cylinder 149.4 cc mill producing 18.28 bhp of maximum power at 10,500 rpm and the same 12.66 Nm of peak torque at 8,500 rpm. While the power figures have always been impressive, the torque figures are the segment-least!

The new CBR 250R, again gets a few stickers here and there and continues with the single cylinder 249.6 cc engine which churns out the same 26.15 bhp of max power at 8,500 rpm and 22.9 Nm of peak torque at 7,000 rpm.

Now, this simply means that there is NO CBR300R and even if we leave that aside, the Indonesian dual-headlamp facelifted version which produced a higher 29 hp of power output is also not coming to us (pics & specs here)!

We are short of words at this point and really do not have much to say here. Let us hope there is something to cheer us up, probably the prices…
