Karan, i just got an apache RTR 180 about 1 month back. i am very happy with it. but you have to understand that rtr 180 an karizma zmr are diffrent classes of bikes. my apache was on road fer slightly less than Rs 69000, ZMR on d other hand will cost upward of 1 lakh 5000. with dat much money it is way better to buy Yamaha R15 rather than ZMR. apart from dat i can tell u apache is very good to handle( i have tried several bikes, among dem apache was best.), d acceleration is addictive, it gets to u and feels very powerful. in hind sight dere apache is a very good buy n complete value fer money. but i will say again if u want 2 spend less than 70,000 buy apache, fer more than 1 lakh buy R15. Dont buy ZMR it aint worth d amount.

Vishal, The first 1 month or first 1000km is the most important period for the engine of the bike. Much like the early months of children. YOu have to be careful in handling the bike in this period. It is adviced that you don't go above 4000rpm or 50 km/hr speed. It is the settling time of the engine, and determines the total lifetime of the engine.
I know its hard to go at 40-45 speed on a monster like the RTR 180 but you must control yourself and ride likewise. By riding at top speed, there will be no everlasting damage but there will be irregularities in the bike, when compared to a bike which as kept under 50 in this period. The incidents you mentioned may have nothing to do with the speeding.

However, refer to your manual on riding the bike in the first month and try to follow the conditions. You can take the bike to the SVC and they shall fix it up for free ( I think so )
