If there is one player which looks all set to be the next big thing in the two wheeler space in India, it appears to be Mahindra as of now. Looking at their zeal and the expected future products, we certainly feel Mahindra will be able to make a significant mark in the two wheeler segment of India.
In a latest development, a press release informs us that Mahindra Two Wheelers has won 3 awards in the CMO Asia Manufacturing Excellence Awards 2013 which were held in Singapore. The awards span across to three categories viz:
- Best in Class CSR Award in Manufacturing Sector
- Best in Class Safety Excellence Award
- Best in Class Carbon Footprint Award
What is CMO Asia?
CMO Asia is a peer-networking organisation which is dedicated to high level knowledge exchange through thought leadership among decision makers across industry segments in Asia. As many as 25 countries across the continent represent along with 150+ senior leaders attend the Award Ceremony.
The criteria to judge these awards include Mind Share, Market Share and Commitment Share and there were various organizations that participated in these awards.
Mahindra’s state of the art manufacturing plant is located in Pithampur at Indore in Madhya Pradesh and incorporates ISO 9001 processes. Their latest lauched Centuro is also manufactured here
At this occasion, Mr. Nirmal Matharu, Senior Vice President and Plant Head of Mahindra Two Wheelers said,

It shows our commitment towards incorporating best in industry practices for employee safety and also showcases our commitment towards the environment and society, by reducing our carbon footprint while taking up causes which uplift society.”
