Mahindra Stallio 110cc Preview

by Deepak on September 29, 2010

Some said it was a 125cc, and some said it was a Cevalo. No. This is the truth: it is a 110cc Stallio. Here’s the details from the Mahindra company itself…

Mahindra Stallio Overview: What your eye does catch is mostly the futuristic LED tail lamps and the stylish grab rails as you would miss out on the dashing inverted arrow visor or the cutting edge digital display. The High performance 110cc engine gives birth to the incredible torque which still keeps you comfortable with the 5 step adjustable suspensions and extra long wheel base.

The road ahead would never be dark with the extra bright – multi reflector headlamps while the trendy alloy wheels would only compliment the distance covered by far.

The Stalio redefines the term City-Bikes with it’s classy looks and sturdy performance. It truly arrests you with its style whilst liberating you with its top notch performance.

Mahindra Stallio Features

High performance 110 cc engine: At the heart of the Stallio, is its new age, 110 cc air cooled engine.

It’s high on performance and low on fuel consumption. And comes with enough punch to slice through any obstacle city roads might through at it.

Contemporary visor: The Stallio comes with a face that’s hard to ignore.

The visor’s inverted arrow design is sure to make heads turn when you ride past.

Multi-reflector headlamp: To turn darkness to light, just switch on this headlamp.

The multi-reflector technology magnifies the range of throw of light, giving you greater visibility at night. The clear lens indicators are also designed for enhanced visibility.

Advanced LED tail lights: Even the tail lamps come equipped with LED technology. It helps improve vehicle visibility from the rear, thereby enhancing safety.

What’s more, these eco-friendly LED lights are more resistant to failures from vibration, consume very little power, are low on maintenance and have longer life.

Sturdy grab rails: Safety and style go hand in hand on this bike.

The rear grip is a perfect example of this unison. It oozes style and yet is designed for a firm grip.

Fully digital display: Every vital piece of information now comes with pinpoint accuracy.

The fully digital display comes equipped with a speedometer, fuel gauge, tachometer, odometer, trip meter and a clock.

ProTouch electric start: Choose the convenience of ProTouch electric start.

It gets you ready to zip at the press of a button. Being especially helpful in start and stop traffic.

Convenient gear shift pattern: The unique 1-up-3 down gear shift pattern of the Stallio promises easy handling.

It allows you to move down to neutral, directly from second gear. Making riding a breeze, even while negotiating heavy traffic

Snug seats: The Stallio has a throne for a seat. It comes sculpted not just for the rider, but the pillion too. So both can enjoy long journeys without any fatigue.

Fully flush fuel tank cap: While you’ll hardly feel any bumps on the Stallio, you won’t see any on it either.

Its fuel tank cap has been so aesthetically designed, it bears close resemblance to an aircraft fuel tank. The fuel cap is embedded in an exquisite panel, making it an object of envy.

Convenient multi-utility box: Want to store some loose change, keys or even your bike papers safely in your Stallio? Just lock it away in your utility box under the fuel tank.

Trendy alloy wheels: Sheer style is what the Stallio moves on.

Its sporty alloy wheels gives you more stability while cornering. And they are extremely lightweight and high on strength.

Looks good but no front discs is quite surprising even in option.

I’m not impressed by design & technology used in this bike as compared to mojo though it is 300cc. But I was expecting it as small power house like R15…

No disk brake (even as an option) is dissapointing. Otherwise the bike looks good.Awaiting the review!

tail like new passion pro
display like Duro.
, engine area and utility box like passion/splendor..
not the most awesome product..
but just another econo-commuter..
something that competes with all 100cc bikes except twister…
interesting 125kg weight seems a bit too much…. we need more high-res pics..to judge its looks..but still looks plain..

Mahindra is going to crush bajaj to the core , bajaj can only survive if they improve the quality of their bikes

I know that many are comparing Mahindra to Bajaj. Yes competition is head on against Bajaj. I will put it like this: Bajaj brought something new (didnt have great quality) which made others to pull up their socks. Similar story will be here, others will bring better bikes as time flies by. Finally as a customer, we should be happy.

this bike is high on pricing but very low on power, styling and look. Bajaj discover 150 is available almost same price with bigger and more powerful engine and wider service network across the country.

The Stallio looks good. But besides the few novelties, it is not radically a departure from the current crop of similarly sized bikes in the market. I’ll even stick my neck out and say the engine is from the KINETIC BOSS 115. :P
Bajaj, Hero Honda and the gang need not lose sleep over this. :)

Im a bit dissapointed, I was xpecting cevalo. Stalio is jus a bike like discover with d wheel base of platina. Bajaj need to launch something, hope M&M will bring cevalo soon. Its a must. Hope Aamir wil help.

Very disappointed..This bike looks ugly. And hope so would look worse in person..somehow this accidently looks like some chinese or taiwanese bike. The mahindras gave birth to Rodeo and duro copying Flyte and Nova frm kinetic and it bombed. Now they have used some idle production line from kinetic and launched this bike..Really moving in the wrong direction.

Decent looks for a 110cc bike. Please Mahindra,Give some interesting stuff for youngsters…. We are bored with too many pulsars & paint worked HeroHondas & over priced YAMAHAs..

I just recall this may not catch up market , Style front it is better, This vehicle M&M may sell based on time bound deal.

Note: Gear box unique shift pattern is not advised type for saftey norms, But vehicle is low CC which uses Schale down pistion from Other brands 125 CC , The stroke and Bhor distance to be checked there in Customers can boost the power duirng the service. But at the same time I will say This 110CC mantra from M&M is better move there in Customers are benifited paying excess cesses and taxes. Note: Disk breaks for Front can be after market kit There in RTO over head cost can be controled so I will say This is smart move from M&M.

In terms of paint works it is smart move to make more profit for company, Manihdra will like to make money by having Customised Stickers kit or after market stickers can be placed as per customers choise.

Note: Standard 125 cc vehicle bhorx stroke is : 52.4mmx57.x mm here mahindra Stallio is 52.4×49.5 which is smart move from machine shop of mahindra. This vehicle will bridge gap of HErohonda 100CC segment , Tvs Centra , Twister. Since this vehicle bhp is low compared to other vehicle you will get more mileage of 2 to 5 kms. One have to wait and see also I recall that herohonda will have break up with honda there in Hero group will have thier means we will have Indian based vehicle like ” TVS , Bajaj , Manindra , Hero motors”

Also one have to see vibour vehicle which is from retrofit market or chinese market.

Two weeks before I purchased mahindra stallio, from the beginning onwards lots of problem and not comfortable driving,
two side shields are not matching and not seated properly, inner battery area clear visible(Because side shield design), very worst design, In this regard i spoke to dealer, he replied this is company design i will not do anything. i driven 4 vehicles out of this, this is the worst vehicle, and also seepage from petrol filter, the new vehicle having lot of problems, self starting also getting problem.
I trusted mahindra, but i disappointed in this vehicle.
