Honda to Launch a 100cc Bike in India

by Naren on September 8, 2011

Commuter segment is what every single two wheeler manufacturing company is targeting for. The reason is the potentiality out here and above all, to increase the market share of the company this is the only solution that the company will be left with at the end of the day.

Honda Motorcycle and Scooter India (HMSI) has also planned for one such commuter bike with  a displacement of 100 cc. We’ve reported about it in BikeAdvice sometime back as soon as the  news was out. But the time of launch and price was undisclosed at that point of time.

Now, the company has revealed the truth that the 100 cc bike will be launched next financial  year and the price of the bike will be around INR 45,000. The bike will be showcased in the Delhi  Auto Expo which will happen on the January of next year.

“We will showcase a 100 cc bike at the Auto Expo in January and launch it next fiscal,” HMSI  VP-Sales and Marketing, Mr N. K. Rattan told Business Line.

Apart from this bike, HMSI is also planning to launch a scooter by the end of this fiscal year.  Mr Rattan said that the scooter will be 100 per cent localised, though product development will take place in Japan. This reveals the fact that this scooter will be one which will ideally suit the Indian market and the since the company is already a dominant player in the scooter segment, this will anyways be a product worth waiting for.

Besides introducing new products to its product line-up, the company is also ramping up its dealership network to strengthen its position and increase its market share in the sub continent. At present, it has 1,220 outlets and plans to add another 300 by next fiscal.

I just wanted to bring to your notice that Honda Twister batteries are a totally unique batteries. They are so unique that even the showroom spare warehouse’s are out of stock on it. It just show’s that despite the innumerable yearly launches or upgrades by Honda, the quality of service, b.t.y. which they are primarily known for, is very much lagging behind

let the company which ignores the market demand (read proper high capacity middle weight bikes) for long time, be damned to hell for ever. I would personally pray to God, to inflict total loss to HMSI.

This comes after painful yearning of a suitable 400/600 Cc to no avail.

They should also consider the launching of their CBR 150R bike in India

First let them give kickstart to dazzler. Dazzler has only selfstart and it comes lower-power battery. No kickstart. Really stupid honda bike.

Both the companies HMSI and Hero Moto Corp have gone mad, they are ignoring people’s needs and producing the bikes what they think will be trendsetters. Common guys, we now have all the technology in the world like android phones, tablets and pads, luxury cars and these companies are selling their old wines in decade old bottles. Give me a break!!

Those above rich jerks are bragging about so-called “people’s needs” did not know that many people in India are earning just below 10k per month. Many are working on daily wages. Even most educated people with M.Ed, Phd are earning very low in private schools and colleges. Those people with a low income cannot afford to waste their little money by spending on huge CC bikes that eats huge quantity of petrol monthly.

I say that to these RICK JERKS if you have so much money and passion for higher CC bike’s i suggest you to shut your mouth and go buy some higher models. Don’t curse the company who know exactly what people want in the current market and don’t ever induce your pathetic believes on the people majority of whom never share the same.
