Hero MotoCorp Not to Phase Out Any Motorcycle from its Portfolio

The number game which the Hero group was playing for quite some time did not seem to take off very well, the way the company had expected it to. With the removal of Honda from its badge, the world’s largest two wheeler manufacturer is now even cutting down its production  in order to reduce its huge inventory, though the company sees a ray of hope expecting a rise in sales during the Festive season, which is all set to begin in a couple of week’s time.

There were a lot of speculation in the last one month time which even ended up with rumors that Hero MotoCorp might discontinue a few models owing to several reasons. The company has now confirmed the fact that there’s not gonna be any  models removed from the company’s portfolio.

The Impulse, the Ignitor and the Maestro were expected to be phased out but indications say that the Impulse and the Maestro has seen good rise in demand from the public and that the company is considering what is to be done to ramp up the production of these models.

The Splendor which was helping the company to sell volumes has seen a considerable dip in sales and the volume has been gained by Discover brand and a few other commuter bikes in the market. While the craze for Splendor has tend to ceased among the general public, the sales of other brands within Hero MotoCorp has also seen a dip as the competition in every segment has grown too tough with many Japanese counterparts coming up with new products in the due course of time.

HMC has also tied up with Eric Buell Racing team – USA, AVL – Austria and Engines Engineering – Italy to seek their technical expertise in order to sustain on the longer run. It becomes mandatory from the company to meet the new emission norms in India that would get implemented by 2015.

While, such has been the scene with the Indian market, the Munjals led HMC has been actively trying to mark its presence in several markets such as African and Latin America. Will the company mark its right kind of presence out there? Leave your comments in the form of words in the box below.
