0-60 in 2.7 Secs, Underseat Exhaust, 31PS, 250cc: Presenting HX250R’s Official Video TVC

by Saad on February 7, 2014

They know you are waiting for it! Hero’s most awaited, break through and first quarter liter is coming to you. The company has launched a new video which appears to be the television advertisement of the motorcycle.

Here are the features Hero promotes on the HX250R in this TVC:

  • Powerful 250cc sportsbike
  • Digital console
  • 250cc Liquid Cooled Engine
  • Single Shock Rear Suspension
  • Twin headlamps
  • Telescopic Hydraulic Shock absorbers
  • Dual modes – Power and Economy
  • 6-speed constant mesh gearbox
  • Combination ABS Brakes
  • Under Seat Exhaust
  • Electronic Fuel Injection
  • 0-60 kmph in 2.7 seconds

HX250R is Hero’s first premium product which doesn’t have any single nut or bolt from Honda. It is, infact, made with the help of Eric Buell Racing (EBR). Interestingly, it is also a breath of fresh air after the debacles of new ZMR and Karizma R.┬áCheck out the TVC below.

Any idea when it will launch and what would be the price.
If it is going to be this year then it might be worthy to wait!

Hero’s on a roll.

Head light execution is poor, rest is nice, if the engine note from the ad is really for this bike, its amazing 1.

Can hero use honda naming conventions ? like CB 250R and now HX 250R

In hero honda, only honda name sounded good, when i hear hero, standing alone, i remember that song tu mera hero…. hahaha
but watever floats their boat.

The worst part of the bike is if u look closely the gap between the right front mud guard and left has a huge difference its not shaped properly tat looks odd.

Hmm…I am being a bit skeptical. If I ride along with my buddy on the pillion, he will look like a monkey on a tree top. Moreover, riding with pillion on such a high perch will surely affect the handing characteristics of any motorcycle. The whole set up looks over-designed and gimmicky, but will surely appeal to young riders. As Aditya rightly remarked, “Hero” is a comic name to be given to a serious motorcycle. Only in India and China do we get names like that. They can change “Hero motor Corp” to something like ‘HMC” or something, or at least change the “hero” logo to something bold and muscular.

All sports motorbike will have high pillion seat!
This bike looks perfect for pillion too, in comparison to other bikes.

The bike looks pretty good from our own Indian Company and there is no doubt. But pillion seat seems to be the problem for Married couples while for youngsters the same pillion seat is Heaven. Otherwise Specs are simply superb.
