Aka buddy if u r still alive here, please know your facts right when u r making a comment.
ZMR has 17.6 BHP @ 7000rpm.
P220 has 21.04 BHP @ 8500rpm.

how did u so called "gone by specifications" guy miss this difference in RPM. when u rip ZMR at 8500 RPM it would generate power equal to that of P220.(may be even more because ZMR has 3 cc more than P220's displacement. This 3cc might not have a considerable increase in horse power but giving it because u needed specifications). and when u drive a p220 @ 8500 RPM, leave aside the horse power, it ll sound like a drilling machine.

"and for all who says about pulsar egine makes noises and problems….if u maintain ur bike and use right amount and quantity of oil nothing gonna happen"
   Q. can u tell me whats the right amount and quantity (both are same i believe) of oil? and u believe that pulsar riders have no idea of maintaining the bike and oils?

"ZMR is ugly, overpriced and bulky" u say. so be it who is begging you to buy one?

"and ananth if u do not go by Specifications…..then what can i say?" hahahahahahaa funny shit.. ROFLMAO

Though I am not impressed by ZMR's ride as my older ZMA did better (i liked the carburetor's response when i ride). either case they both are better than P220 no matter what, when and where. i bet my ZMA will smoke yer P220 (if u have one) in seconds. i bought my ZMA in 2005 and i am still confident in its performance but r u? after 6 years your P220 wouldn't even go for scrap.

Just don't post stupid comments when u don't know shit about the specs. i wonder whether u have driven a bike yet

I have met with 3 accident the reson was not my bad driving the resaon was slipping of tyres when i applied sudden disk break . the tyre is very very thing at the high speed more then 60 we are on god hand if we applie the disk break . if you look on yahama bikes tyre they are very thick .

2) after meeting the accedient my bike is like a vibrating phone . even at the speed of 30 km/h i am felling damm vibration. no service center able to repaire they simply say you have to be with it.

3)I suggest you dont run for looks. the handling is very very tough its most un balanced bike i ever seen.

4) at he speed of 80 you will feel to have 6th gear the the accelartion to reach 100 is very very slow and after hundred you have to wait for your deadly accdent to reach the 110 :-(

you will feel that Yahama r15 can over take very easily .

power:
pulsar 180 : 17.02 BHP (12.4 kW) @ 8500 RPM
karizma zmr: 17.60 BHP (13.15 kW) @ 7000 RPM.

what this difference means is that while you will have to wring that accelerator on the pulsar 180 to squeeze out the maximum power, you do so with relative ease on the karizma.

torque:
pulsar 180 : 14.22 Nm @ 6500 RPM
karizma zmr: 18.35 Nm @ 6000 RPM

this is the real difference between pulsar 180 and karizma. while you can easily pull away at low speeds and low gear with the karizma you will have to pull more on your accelerator or shift your gear up to pull away at low speed on the 180.

difference between torque and power? the following was copied from http://www.answerbag.com/q_view/78750

"Torque is the pulling power of the engine. HP is the product of torque and RPM divided by 5252.

Horsepower = Torque * RPM / 5252

A higher RPM increases the HP as well, but that does not improve the performance.

So the torque is the more direct measurement of the engine's performance. A higher torque translates into a higher HP, but a higher HP doe not necessarily mean more torque or better performance."

Hi Cool,
Anyone buy ZMR by his own money, not from your pocket. Style, comfort, status and choice varies form people to people. So buyer will go as per their choice, budget. You might not will to buy CL500 for lesser top speed, low mileage and high price, but people buy it even 10 months waiting because of passion not for mileage. Secondly, if you sale any new bike in the market after one month use, you will get 15-20% less value. You own P180, surely you have good idea to review of it. But without owing a bike how can you full review. Do not be bias with other product with being the owner of yours. There are pros and cons in every product

hello ZMRians,

I completed 4500 kms n every km makes me admire my decision ;) I still don't have a single problem to voice about. touch-wood.

Mileage for my day to day town riding ranges from 37.5 to 39.65.
What I do to get exact mileage is, I feel up the tank FULL everytime n trip the meter to zero, I had 6-7 fills so far. I think its best way to get near to appropriate mileage, with very little room for error.

For only long ride I had so far it gave average of 48.54KMPL . I went to a hill station, Mahabaleshwar, around220kms from my place. Out of which 30-40 kms span is hilly n remaining highway.
I also couldn't cross 110kmph mark(like some1mentioned above), thanks to traffic, but as I felt the throttle, I can say, if we get clear straight road it can easily reach 120-130 without much of threatening unhealthy sound.
Well m never gonna test it so I better be happy cruising at 100. its fun ain't it. :)
