The iconic American motorcycle maker, Harley Davidson has added another feather to its portfolio cap; the Fat Bob. Since the brand made its presence in the Indian market, it has had a very good innings till date. Riding on that success, the company has decided to bring in additional motorcycle to offer more options to their customers and fans. To be assembled at the company’s Bawal, Haryana facility, this new addition from the Dyna family expands Harley-Davidson India’s portfolio of CKD (Complete Knockdown) models to six. Harley Davidson will sell the Fat Bob through all nine Harley-Davidson dealerships across the country at an attractive price point of Rs. 12.80 lakhs (ex-showroom, Delhi)
Mr. Anoop Prakash, Managing Director, Harley-Davidson India speaking at the launch of the Fat Bob said, “Along with being an ideal motorcycle for Indian roads, the introduction of the Fat Bob, our newest addition to our line-up available through CKD, is further proof of our ability to move ahead of the marketplace by listening to our customers. The launch of the Fat Bob as CKD will allow more customers to experience our Dyna range at an attractive price point.” The fat Bob includes a hardcore front end, complete with twin headlights for a mean and moody stance with Tommy Gun exhausts to add to the distinctive side profile.

The Harley Davidson Fat Bob is powered by an Air cooled, Twin Cam 96, super – efficient 1585 cc engine that churns out a hefty torque figure of 126 Nm @ 3500 RPM. This engine is mated to a Six-Speed Cruise Drive transmission that Harley says provides smooth, quiet shifting and reduces engine speed on the highway, so one gets better match between engine turnover and road speed. An attractive feature of the bike is the Tommy Gun’ 2-1-2 exhaust, that increases exhaust flow to provide better performance, signature Harley-Davidson rumble and big style. The bike also gets adjustable suspension and factory-installed ABS. Braking power is provided by dual brakes feature 4-piston fixed calipers.
