All you HOGs and wannabe HOGs out there in and around Pune and Goa, here is a bit of news that would interest you.

Increasing its foothold (or should it be wheel-grip?) in the country, Harley-Davidson has opened a new dealership in Pune and Goa.

Harley Davidson Pune Dealership

The new Two Rivers Harley-Davidson in Pune is the 11th dealership in India. Situated at the Amanora Town Centre Mall this new dealership should prove a boon to the Pune guys who can now purchase a new Harley-Davidson bike or have their existing Harley serviced locally instead of going all the way to Mumbai.

At the inauguration function of the new dealership there were over 100 Harley-Davidson owners who had come from all across the western region! Talk about camaraderie!

The new Two Rivers Harley-Davidson has the entire Harley-Davidson India lineup of 11 motorcycle models and the prices start from Rs. 5, 91,000 lakh (ex-showroom, Pune) for the model Superlow. Besides bikes, they also sell Harley-Davidson riding gear, apparel, and merchandise.

Harley Davidson Goa Dealership

Following Pune, Harley also launched their Goa dealership on 30th November. The new HD dealership is located at Marine Plaza, Goa and is company’s 12th in the country.

Similar to Pune, the HD Goan dealership will have on offer all the 11 Harley motorcycles starting at Rs 5.91 Lakh ex-showroom Goa for the Superlow. It will also keep Harley Davidson’s custom parts and accessories for purchase.

Since the beginning of their retail operations in India in 2010 Harley has sold nearly 4000 motorcycles to Indian customers and upcoming dealerships will undoubtedly increase those numbers.

Anoop Prakash, Managing Director, Harley-Davidson India welcomed new customers to join the growing family of Harley-Davidson owners and informed all present at the respective locations about a brand new facilities that opened in Mumbai on the same day as Pune and new dealership in Goa on 30 November 2013.

Mr. Prakash also talked about a couple of global product launches with Project RUSHMORE, which is Harley’s improved touring line up and includes the all new HD Street 500 and Street 750 motorcycles. Harley has already confirmed the Street 750 for India and plans to introduce it at the upcoming Auto Expo. Interestingly, they are tight-lipped about the smaller Street 500 and we hope it is coming to us as well. Check out Pics & Videos of Street 750 & 500 here.

With Triumph in the fray now, HD appears to be following the expansion approach to challenge the Brit manufacturer before it gets comfortable in India.
