Today biking is turning out to be a weekend sports activity more than a hobby it used to be earlier (leave aside regular commute to work / school / college). As regards the dressing, totally agree with leather jackets and nicely fitting denims. Again, depends on what you want - protection or style or a mix of both. I form part of the latter breed.
