Original Source: Spied: New TVS Rockz Along NH7 from BikeAdvice.in

We just reported TVS Neo being tested along NH – 7 near TVS Motors’ plant in Hosur. Simultaneously, Mr. Diwakar, our long – term reader also clicked a few pics of another step – up scooter, TVS Rockz New also being tested.

The most catching featuring about this model is the tail light which is the same of Apache’s – The big and bold LED cluster with red cover in the centre. This is very clearly seen in these pics. This model was launched in the Indonesian market in the year 2009. This model was designed exclusively for their market which became a hit model soon after the launch.

The TVS Rockz which combines 2-wheeler technology and consumer technology which has presently become a trend amongst Indonesian customers. The Rockz boasts of a 125 cc engine which is durable, responsive and environmental friendly too. The bike doesn’t sport an alloy wheel but still houses disc brakes. That too, not one but two. Yes, both in front and in the rear as well. This is in a way surprising for me. It is a mere 125 cc scooter but still two discs for most précised braking effect. Atleast now, safety is being given due consideration in India. Happy about that! Are they trying to set benchmarks in this aspect? Whatever it is, happy from our side.

Unlike the Neo’s pics which we posted yesterday, the Rockz’s headlamp is fitted in the handle bar itself and not on the body. See the exhaust design and you’ll immediately recognize the Flame motorcycle in India. It’s got that triangular exhaust with a muffler cover. TVS Motors makes use of all products which are being sold in India either presently or something which was sold here a little earlier.

The rear portion of the scooter ends sharply. Looks like the riding position is gonna be little odd. There are chances that tall riders will find it difficult in placing their legs. Let’s now get to the most interesting part of this model .Guess what? The TVS Rockz New boasts of an Integrated Music System (IMS). This is one of the very few models across the globe to get a music system on board. TVS has taken a big step and leaped way forward by incorporating this technology. Riders will be able to enjoy their favorite music through a USB port and even access FM radio to seek information or just enjoying the music while hanging out with friends.

With a 125 cc engine, the TVS RockZ is one of the most responsive bikes in its class. Thanks to its duralife engine and 4 F engine component (RF- Roller Follower); (LF- Light Piston Ring); (TF- Teflon coated guide tensioner); (LF Advance Lub Circuit).

The RockZ also features a Anti – Theft Lock (ATL). What happens here is that the bike gets locked when it is parked in its main stand. This system can be operated from the seat lock. The Canister Shock Absorber with nitrogen offers the best of the riding position with too much of comfort provided as it is being ridden.

Here in this paragraph, go through few of the technologies that this model is incorporated with. I-econo is a technology which is used to measure the use of fuel for more efficiency and economical use without undermining engine performance, I-start is a temperature sensor technology which assists the users to save time (less than three minutes), I-space is a baggage compartment that gives the most room in a motorcycle of its class with 8.7 litre compartment space and finally i-charge is mobile phone battery charging. Finally i-glow is the keyhole which gets to glow in the dark. The TVS RockZ even has a compartment light which automatically lights up when the seat is raised.

Let’s wait for some more time till we get this scooter in the Indian market. Stay tuned with us as we throw more light on these new models from TVS.

Original Source: Spied: TVS Neo X3i along NH7 from BikeAdvice.in

TVS has off late been a successful brand not only in India but in Indonesia as well. Ever since the company stepped into the Indonesian market almost all its products are well received out there and the entry for the company into that market has been strategically fruitful too. TVS has 5 models out there out of which two are Apache and the other three are basically step – up scooters. They are not like the Activas and Access here but to a greater extent will resemble the Hero Honda Street in their basic layout and design. I’ve pulled the ’Street’ into this topic to give you a mere clarity of its shape.

Now, we at BikeAdvice have got a surprise for all our readers. Guess what? Our reader and a proud owner of Honda CBR 250R Mr. Diwakar from Bangalore had clicked a few pics of TVS Neo X3i along the NH7 and near Hosur (Tamilandu – Karnataka border), where TVS Motors’ plant is located. Thanks to you, Diwakar!

Now, in this post we bring you the images and details of TVS Neo X3i. There are basically two variants of this model as you can see in the pics. One on the left side with red and black colour scheme is the basic variant with spoke wheels and no alloys. Check out the other one. You’ll find it with alloy wheels and to add to it, it’s equipped with disc brakes too.

The Neo looks really sturdy in terms of its looks. The riding position is perfect for city commuting. The rear tail light, on close observation resembles the Fiero’s tail light. That fits cool into this scooter. The exhaust design and muffler cover is simple with no projections or any uniqueness which a product like Neo doesn’t require anyways.

The headlamp design is similar to a Honda Dio with the lamp fitted not on the front part of the handle bar but below that. This usually aids in providing enhanced vision since it is placed low. But the drawback of this is the fact that when you are along a curve or a turn, there are more (or even high, I would say) chances of the focus to be straight rather than pointing where you want.

This is not a gearless scooter. Mind it! It’s got a gearbox with 4 manual gears and the gear lever is foot controlled. The design of this product is such that it attracts women as well. With a big gap in the front, it will surely be easy for them to get on and get down of it. The dual colour scheme in both the models in the pic looks really cool. Also note the number plate mounting above the headlight which actually looks a little odd after seeing all the Indian scooters.

The NeoX3i simply boasts of no extra-ordinary design or any features for that matter. But, the product looks convincing in almost all aspects. The powermill for the Neo is a 110 cc Single cylinder 4 stroke air cooled engine which sounds ideal taking its dimensions into consideration.

But, the question is ‘Why is this being tested in India?’ “Is it the next product from TVS Motors for the Indian market?” This segment is left vacant post the exit f Hero Honda Street from the Indian market. No news from TVS so far. But with Delhi Auto Expo just round the corner, is the company trying to showcase the products and launch it out there? Well, the probability of this to happen is VERY HIGH! Keep updated with BikeAdvice as I try to keep you guys all updated about this offering from the noble stable o0f TVS Motors.

Pricing will determine the success of TVS Neo X3i if launched here. Again, no rumours so far on the pricing front! Here is the brief spec list of TVS Neo X3i.

Original Source: Insights on the 2012 Bajaj Pulsar from BikeAdvice.in

I’ve never been fascinated greatly by Pulsars as I‘m now. The first generation Pulsar launched way back in 2001 which stood perfectly for its tagline ‘Definitely Male’ was the only when I admired, but that was in my school days when bike was still a dream at that point of time. But, taking a look at the spy shots of the next generation Pulsar which is the 2012 model, I’m left speechless. An Indian company with a bike like this is something I’ve never ever dreamt of.

I do understand the hard feeling of die-hard Indian Pulsar fans after seeing the Pulsar with Speed Curves thinking it was the next gen Pulsar. Rejoice that Bajaj hasn’t let you down this time too. The Pulsar 135Ls has so far been the most stylish one among the entire lot of the brand which is why the 2012 model has derived most of its styling cues from it. There’s nothing to regret about it as it looks perfectly cool this time. I still remember Mr. Rajiv Bajaj announcing to the media that the next generation Pulsar (the one you see in the pics here) will not be a merely facelifted version of the existing Pulsar but will be a completely new bike based on an all new platform with the best of technologies incorporated onto it. All his words have taken shape now.

The following are the insights we get to know about the 2012 Pulsar from the spy pics clicked somewhere near the Bajaj’s Chakan plant in Pune.

The rear tail light is similar to the traditional twin lamp design which still looks perfect on the bike.

The rear quarter of the bike will more or less compete with the Yamaha R15 V2.0 which has a sharp ending. The rear lamps are now more sharper and note the number plate holder. It is perfectly inspired from the Japanese bikes.

These bikes have no rear wheel hugger which we’ll find in the production models.

For all Monoshock suspension lever, it’s time for you to rejoice. Note the yellow colour mono-shocks on the rear. It looks damn sporty on this model.

The design of the alloy wheels is sure to rock. There is a ten spoke alloy which is fitted to the 2012 Pulsar which looks terribly hot and is even one of the best looking wheels on the Indian bikes.

The seating position is all set to see a change with this model. It is very clear that is resembles the KTM Dukes in this aspect. The KTM 125 Duke which I reviewed in Singapore in the month of August is what I got reminded right at the first sight. Kudos for that!

Note the biggest change in the 2012 Pulsar. The exhaust is not visible onto the right rear half nor it’s got an underseat exhaust. Then where is it? There are more chances that it houses a centralized exhaust which is very new for an Indian bike

The front disc appears to be pretty bigger than the one found in the present model. Implies improvised braking which gets to feel it’s need in a bike with improvised performance. So what is the change in engine now? Awesome question with absolutely no answer (unfortunately)!

The engine might now be liquid cooled to take the R15 V2.0 head on. There are more chances of this to happen.

There is a complete makeover with the headlamp fairing in the front as well. Let’s wait for some more time to know what is exactly is as it’s not clear with these images.

The platform on which the Pulsar was built on has also seen a complete change. Looks like Bajaj has made use of KTM’s platform to build this bike. Very evident from the pics.

For an all new visual upgrade, air scoops along the side of the fuel tank have now grown bigger and resembles the KTM Dukes once again. Bajaj’s 39 per cent stake in the Austrian maker KTM has not gone waste.

But, a major concern is that there are no discs at the rear. Will this see a change in the production model? Let’s see how it goes

As the proverb ‘Everything comes to him who waits’ means, Bajaj hasn’t ditched it’s prospective young customers who have spent so months waiting to see the next generation Pulsar before getting their next bike booked. This model is sure to continue its reign in the sport bike category. I’m now excited to see this model in the Delhi Auto Expo 2012 which is scheduled in the month of January. Start pouring in your thoughts about this bike, Dear PulsarManiacs.

Disclaimer: Either I, as an Author or BikeAdvice is not responsible for any changes which’ll get incorporated in the production bike compared with what you see in the pics. We’re not responsible for the authenticity of the images as well.

Now we can be quite confident that there is a new Yamaha R15 in the pipeline. The 2012 Yamaha R15 (formerly referred to as 2011 R15) has been spotted again by Vaibhav Saigal.

Our guess is that if the new R15 is just a facelift then the bike would have been launched already. Going by the rumors the bike should boast a remaped ECU with 22 PS power.

What do you think about the new R15?

A reader of BikeAdvice, sent me this image of the supposedly all New 2011 Yamaha R15. It is claimed to have 22 PS of power, new Headlamps and LED tail Lamps, Split seats, New alloy wheel design, a revamped ECU, rear wheel hugger and an overall fresh look.

The Spy Photo of the 2011 Yamaha R15 has been removed following the request from Yamaha. Yamaha declines to comment on the speculation and remains silent about the launch date which is rumored to be on June 14th 2011.

Original Source: 2011 Yamaha R15 Spied! from BikeAdvice.in

Everyone has been anticipating the launch of a new R15. Looks like our dreams may come true. This spy shot is now spreading online like wildfire.

Update: 2011 R15 To be Launched by Jan 2011

It first appeared in orkut and the credit goes to Vaibhav Saigal. From the pic, we can observe raised rear seat, split seats, bigger rear tyre, new alloy wheel rims and rear wheel hugger. Changes in front are not visible yet.

Looks like it is really hard for companies to hide their upcoming bikes if they are testing it on public roads. Now that everyone is roaming around with a camera phone.

Or perhaps this was induced by the company itself? Perhaps! Food for thought!
