Bajaj Pulsar 180 Gets a New Orange Theme

While I was walking around my corridor, I saw an orange colored Bajaj Pulsar zoomed past in a jiffy. Orange…Pulsar! At first I thought is an outcome of someone’s creativity but a visit to a service center here in Pune revealed what I thought was wrong. Bajaj has launched a different variant for Pulsar 180 in orange color.

The coloring looks similar to the Limited Edition Pulsar Bajaj launched around half a decade ago at an enormous price difference between the regular variants and the Limited Edition one.

This time what I hear from the dealer is that it is not coming as a Limited Edition and would be available and even the price difference is miniscule. Let me enumerate the differences I noticed on this bike.

  • Black-Orange theme: While the dominant color is orange, Bajaj has also used the black color to complement the looks. The front mudguard and the side panels are black in color while the front bikini fairing, tank, extended tank shrouds and the rear panels are sparkling orange in color.
  • Black Clip-ons: Pulsar 220 DTSi in black color had black clip-ons and grab rails while the rest of the colors do with grey colored clip-ons and grab rails. Similar to that concept, this orange colored Pulsar 180 variant comes in black colored clip-ons and grab rails.
  • Engine Specs same: Engine specifications remain absolutely the same and Bajaj has not tinkered with them.
  • Price Difference: This orange colored variant is priced at a premium of only Rs 800. Pulsar 180 DTSi in regular colors cost Rs 71,947 while this bike would set you back by Rs. 72,800. Both prices on road Pune.

This might be Bajaj’s answer to people who complain about Pulsars being too common.

A small price for that exclusivity everyone wants. Upon further digging, I hear that similar theme might be given to Pulsar 220 DTSi as well.

I liked the design and managed to click a few snaps for BikeAdvice readers. Please pardon me for the quality of the pics as they are directly from the night mode of my Nokia E63.
