In a recent interview, Rajiv Bajaj spilled Bajaj’s launch plans for this year. There were not one but two surprises. The first one, about two upcoming Pulsars, is what we have talked about earlier (More Details).
The second one was the launch plan of not one or two but as many as 6 new Discovers in India. Out of these 6, he said, he is sure that 4 will definitely be launched this year. A decision on the remaining two will be taken based on the conditions and competitions responses.
Now, barely after a few days after we shared the suspected Pulsar 200NS mule (Pics & Details), we share with you spyshots of a Discover being tested along the same roads of Pune. We are unsure of what ccs and looks the new Discovers will adorn but considering the big number of them lined up we are sure that they will come in different segments and possibly different looks (at least a few of them).
This Discover mule appeared similar to the newly launched Discover 100T with regular shock-absorbers at the rear, full chain cover among other bits. We also had a word with the test rider and he just said that he is unaware of the changes and has been given this bike to ride as a test rider.
Considering that the launch of the first upcoming new Discovers (from this series of 6) is scheduled to commence shortly, Bajaj testing them on the roads is very much in tandem with the regular process. However, this could also be an endurance test Discover 100T considering that it has been launched only a few months back. At the current moment, your guess is as good as ours!
