New 250ccs: 28bhp Hyosung GD250R & GD250N Coming This October to India [Speculation]

DSK Hyosung showcased their naked GD250N at last year’s Auto Expo in Delhi. The GD250N is from the new range of Hyosung motorcycles and it will be the company’s first single cylinder engine for our market and churns out 28 bhp of power and 25Nm of maximum torque.

It is a lot lighter and modern than the GT250R and hence performance figures are expected to be interestingly good. Last year Hyosung also unveiled its faired sibling the GD250R which is an aggressive looking motorcycle with a lot of ‘sports’ flair. Both these motorcycles were expected to be launched in India last year and in fact Hyosung has offered a few units of the naked for media tests in India. But for some reasons (some attribute it to DSK’s higher interest in Benelli) both of them got delayed and are still elusive from our market.

A new report at Overdrive, the guys who have ridden the GD250N earlier, claim that it will be launched in India by October this year and the faired GD250R will also come, sometime later but within this year. They say that there is a possibility that DSK Hyosung may manufacture the bikes in India instead of sourcing them from some market and assembling them here.

Apart from this it is already under speculations that Hyosung is working on a bigger 300cc Aquila, GD400R and a few other new models in order to revamp their complete lineup!
