Hero Honda shocked the market when it first launched the Original CBZ way back in 1998, it was the only 150 cc bike available in the market at that time, flash forward to present, the 150 cc market has completely changed, with the pulsars, RTR’s and the FZ’s pulling a lot of crowd to their showrooms, while the Hunk and CBZ xtreme have definitely not set the sales chart on fire, but still are managing some decent numbers for the company.
While the CBZ got a facelift some time back with some snazzy colour combinations, the Hunk was left untouched apart from the limited edition launched in between. It was time for the Hunk to get some more muscle, and it’s just not the paint job Hero Honda is famous for.
The new Hunk gets the following new features:
- Digital Speedo Console with an analogue tachometer
- Rear Disc Brake
- Led Tail Lamp
- New Front Fender Design
- New Visor design
- New exhaust shroud
- Tubeless Tyres
- Maintenance free battery
Last but not the least the typical Hero Honda upgrade, new graphic designs on the tank. The bike finally gets the digital console, led tail lamps, which have been available in the competition since quite a long time. The addition of rear disc brakes, tubeless tyres, and maintenance free battery makes Hunk a more attractive package.
As of now, Hero Honda has not released the pricing details but expect the bike to be priced higher than the outgoing model.

waiting for ne HH hunk as well as CBZ upgrade
Hunk is better touring machine than pulsar although it has less power comparatively. Hero Honda should improve its engine and electrical parts.

i dont get why most manufacturers wont include monoshocks. i mean Hunk with a mono wud luk fantastic. Does it take a lot of efforts to add a mono? i wud like to know, coz imagine pulsars and apaches with monos, who wudnt buy?
I wonder when will the entire line up will get a new 150 cc engine which has not been changed for ages.
HH doesn’t have anything better to offer in 150cc segment.. other than the same old tuned unicorn engine.. till they change that to get something better they can’t hope for better sales.
Looks like the engine power and torque has been left untouched. H.Honda seems to be up to the old game of doing a superfluous job when it comes to revamping its bike!!!
Not enough to beat Pulsar’s and Apache’s.

A try by hero honda to increase the sales of hunk and at the same time give a competition to honda dazzler ( read tube less tires, rear disk, digital tacho). Since CBZ extreme is doing decent numbers, it is left untouched. Got to see how it performs. But, when there are a portfolio of options in the 150 cc segment varying from entry level Discover 150cc and Yamaha SZ to super stylish n sleek FZ and performance monster apache, i wonder how this move by Hero honda is substantiated. Hunk has nothing exclusive to offer either it terms of style or performance although, the engine is really awesome. Just the bran name has to do some good (which did not do earlier itself). So all the best Hunk..

What apache need is smoothness and quality upgrade and what Hunk needs is power upgrade. They are perfect in all other deptt.
HH should have made one of the two siblings (CBZ-X and Hunk) into a 15-16 PS monster.
I think hunks desine is more muscular than dazzler.
Is this new hunk is better than uni dazzler? When it compared in performance, fe,handling and electricles which is the best.
on a one n one exprience HUNK really rocks n its fabulous especially for the youngsters n college students like me………..

Hero honda upgrades just to improve the sales figures but they SHOULD upgrade their products regularly like bajaj is doing with pulsars. Again Hunk is a GOOD bike TO RIDE. I hope these gizmos are added to cbzextreme as well.

There is nothing called facelift version which is going to come for CBZ.I know one of my friend whos uncle is working with HH and he said that there is no such plan.even me was waiting for this bike but me got news like this.its just a fake news.
Better the brands are not changed as frequently as done by bajaj which is of utter waste. and HUnk is way better than uni dazzler in all terms. the riding posture itself is not at al exciting for a 150 cc machine like dazzler. Unicron would be perfect for commuting. dazzler looks and feels like smallest bike of the segment. its just a comparo between the two. correct me if am wrong! hunk has rearset footpegs and neatly adjusted handle bar with good ergonomics. its great looking when compared with dazzler!

I am planing to book for myself this beast… i m not very sure whether to go for this or for Apache, which is in the rounds for some time now… also there is FZ-S which is again a gr8 looking and powerful bike. I m confused but planing to opt for Hunk bcoz this one i don’t see much on roads and hence gives me a uniqueness with a good engine…
I want others to please help me make a correct and fruitful decsion.
